We can get from here to there in our automobiles much faster today than one hundred years ago. Certainly, our cars provide us with conveniences, especially if you have one with all the toys – navigation system, mp3, dual climate control, DVD headrest players for the rear passengers.
But with the conveniences come the headaches – monthly payments, maintenance, insurance, road rage, high gas prices, traffic, traffic, traffic, traffic!!
Certainly, the horse and carriage had its own challenges; however, the times and mode of transportation seemed so much simpler. True, cleaning up and enduring the smell of horse manure isn’t pleasant. But it beats the high cost of gas and maintenance!
